Sad Devotion makes a thunderous debut on the synth-pop scene with an electrifying maxi single. Behind the alias is the editor-in-chief of the Swedish Synth.nu magazine, marking his return to releasing music after 17 years. The last endeavor was part of a tribute album to the cult band Page. Collaborating with friend Tobias Isaksson, aka Azure Blue, Sad Devotion’s maxi single arrives perfectly timed for the fifth anniversary of The Future Sound of Stockholm label. This release promises to strike the synthpop landscape like lightning, with a blend of experience, friendship, and a renewed musical passion.
“Sad Devotion is about the anxiety you face in everyday life. Having to euthanize your dog. Finding peace in a long marriage, or being struck by a sudden feeling of alienation in the grocery store. When it comes to the music, I give everything to find a nerve and evoke cinematic images.”
