Canadian troubadour Ryan Wayne has made a triumphant return with his latest album, Crow Amongst the Sparrows, emerging from a challenging chapter in his life. Among the standout tracks is Maybe I’m to Blame, a song with roots that go back many years to a spontaneous late-night writing session with old friend Dave Celia. Dormant and wordless for ages, it was revived during Wayne’s stroke recovery, and the addition of Kelley McCrae’s haunting harmonies in the later stages breathed new life into the song. Maybe I’m to Blame is a mesmerizing fusion of indie folk and rock, with Wayne’s excellent vocals leading the way. It’s a musical journey you won’t want to miss
