Øyunn, a Norwegian drummer and artist now based in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a musical chameleon, creating honest and deeply personal tracks that span a spectrum of sounds. Her music is a captivating blend of drumming, singing, and even rapping, making it a truly original and expressive experience. “Blocker,” the second single from her concept album “Aspects,” is an anthem of independence. With ambient bass layers and modular sparks, her spoken word lyrics on top form a self-empowerment song that was not only part of a film-performance but also performed live at Munch in Oslo. The accompanying music video, set in the serene woods of Hovedøya in the Oslo Fjord, adds an enchanting visual layer to this unique and immersive musical journey. The track’s mixing by Brian Batz, known as Sleep Party People, adds the final touch to this compelling sonic creation.
