Oh Bummer!, the musical alias of Seattle-born, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Tanner Houghton, unveils his latest sonic revelation in the form of The Bird and the Dog. This alt-hip-hop indie-pop-rock fusion gem, the third single from his forthcoming EP set to drop in 2023, is produced by none other than the legendary trip-hop maestro, The KickDrums. Featuring a stellar guest verse from rapper Blimes, of Blimes & Gab fame, and complemented by the sultry jazzy background vocals of Oh Bummer!’s own sister, the track weaves a chill yet enigmatic cinematic narrative, marked by seductive piano and horn lines, hinting at the unraveling of a romantic entanglement. To further amplify the experience, the stylized black-and-white video directed by Brandon Tasker is an absolute visual feast.
