He successfully fuses his own chorus (“Love and Happiness, here I come“) with a 1972 Al Green hit, while through his masterful vocal delivery, he evokes a range of emotions in the listener, bringing them into the heart of the song.
Khamari has shared about On My Way: “In the middle of the pandemic I packed everything I owned into my car and drove across the country from Boston to Los Angeles. On My Way is a song about my move, my confidence in knowing I was making the right decision starting fresh so I could build something from the ground up.”
This sonic delight was written by Khamari and Merna, and the visuals were executed by Rae Blackman.
