Los Angeles-born, yet Midwest-nurtured singer-songwriter Kayls is returning to her roots, offering the world a fresh dose of her musical prowess. She dismantles the pop norm, infusing her music with a renewed sense of personal authenticity, serving as a poignant reminder that inner peace cannot be bought but must be constructed within our own sanctuary. Kayls is unveiling her latest creation, Internet, a sweeping, evocative ballad that drifts through dreamy, unhurried atmospheres. Within its haunting melodies, Kayls grapples with the modern world’s isolation. While the internet wields the power to connect us globally, she mourns its darker side, where fears are confirmed, and spirals ensue. With heartfelt lyrics and Kayls’ earnest vocals, “Internet” provides solace amid the superficiality of (post) summer anthems.
“For better or for worse, society has been disrupted by social media. Our ability to connect with so much, often leads to losing touch with our authentic selves and the people in our lives. My new song, “Internet” zooms in on the negative effects of this societal shift; being one with the internet. This song comes at a time when it’s incredibly important to consciously balance our human and artificial interactions on a daily basis.” (Kayls)
