Juanita Stein’s Carry Me, the second single from her upcoming album The Weightless Hour (out November 29 via Agricultural Audio), is a tender exploration of grief, stillness, and self-reliance. Written during a serene escape to Tuscany in 2020, the song pairs Stein’s delicate vocals with stripped-back guitar melodies, enhanced by ambient sounds like chirping birds captured during recording. Its refrain, “carry me,” is both a plea and a declaration of resilience, offering profound intimacy and emotional depth. Produced by Ben Hillier, the track exemplifies the minimalist, drum-free approach of the album, creating a space where every sound feels purposeful.
Accompanied by a heartfelt video, Carry Me is a moving testament to Stein’s artistry.
