Jonathan Bree, the New Zealand-based artist, recently released his fifth studio album Pre-Code Hollywood via his own imprint Lil’ Chief Records. The album’s lead single When We Met also received a music video co-directed by Bree and Marc Swadel, which perfectly complements the track’s noir disco/synth-pop sound. Bree’s signature crooner vocals and the captivating Moroder-esque arpeggios are nothing short of addictive. The video is set in the late 1970s and follows Bree and his band, who are well-known for always wearing masks, as they perform on a fictional ‘Top of the Pops’-style live TV show called “Radio Vision”.
Pre-Code Hollywood and its lead single are a must-listen for fans of Bree’s unique sound and style.
