Japanese Television, the space-surf-psych-rock(!) quartet, unleashes their latest single, Typhoon Reggae Police, with a wild and heavy vibe. Inspired by The Fall in a roundabout way, the track’s title pays homage to a demo cassette listed in Mark E. Smith’s autobiography Renegade. Guitarist Tim Jones describes it as Link Wray jamming with Ahmad Zahir’s band, Afghanistan’s Elvis.
The single is a taste of their upcoming second album, Automata Exotica, slated for release on March 22nd, by Tip Top Recordings.
