Toronto rockers Hot Garbage have unveiled details about their upcoming sophomore album, Precious Dream, scheduled for release on January 19, 2024, through Mothland (NA) and EXAG’ Records (EU/UK). To mark the announcement, they’ve shared the album’s first single, the opening track Snooze You Lose. This track packs an explosive punch, racing through two minutes of maniacal laughter, sharp punk riffage, and a heavy dose of Graham Walsh’s signature off-the-wall production. Snooze You Lose employs tritones and other “evil” compositional techniques, creating a grungy and sardonic single that not only melts faces but sets eardrums into a frenzy. The bombastic rhythms, distorted bass, guitar and organ, along with reverb-drenched vocals, glide atop an ominous sea of decibels and feedback.

If The Cramps were in their late twenties, this would be their sound.
