Erased Tapes presents Laraaji’s reimagining of Hatis Noit’s track Aura, infusing it with his signature ambient touch. Laraaji’s rework features his multi-timbral soundscapes that beautifully complement Noit’s unique abstract vocals, enriched with his performances on open-tuned zither, kalimba, and voice. This rework, set for release alongside Laraaji’s new 2024 tour dates, highlights his transformative approach to ambient music.
Catch Laraaji live at Le Poisson Rouge in New York on August 5th and at Bang on a Can’s LOUD Weekend at MASS MoCA. The collaboration follows their inspiring encounter at Wonderfruit Festival and Big Ears Festival.
