Hailing from Philadelphia, Grocer is a band known for their riotous noise rock sound. Their latest offering, Caterpillar Pilled, serves as the second single from Grocer’s sophomore LP, Bless Me, set for release on April 19. Mixed by Nate Amos of Water From Your Eyes, the track encapsulates the band’s signature cacophony of sound, delivering a raw and energetic sonic experience. With Caterpillar Pilled, Grocer continues to push boundaries in the noise rock genre, promising listeners an exhilarating ride through their unique musical landscape.

“Caterpillar Pilled” was the last song written for the album. It started with the bassline which is just three notes repeated for the whole song, but at varying speeds. It was partially inspired by a radio station at the end of the dial I found that plays cheerful kids songs from the 50s. I was going through an emotional rough patch and spending days wandering around the Wissahickon (in Philadelphia) on psychedelics. Somehow these two influences showed up at the same time on this song.” Nicholas Rahn (guitar/vocals)
