Empty Machines, a dynamic duo from Glasgow, Scotland, initially started as a solo instrumental project by Thomas Crawford in his home studio. With the addition of vocalist Jodie Helena, they evolved into Empty Machines. Their recent gift to the music scene is the second single, Velvet Sky, revealing a darker facet while preserving their distinct sound. The lyrics offer an ambiguous glimpse into a dystopian future, portrayed through the perspective of a character navigating that world. Supported by dark cinematic instrumentation, the track seamlessly blends cinematic alternative rock with shoegaze and post rock ethos, delivering an experiential sonic journey.
