Elliot Moss, the multi-talented artist hailing from New York, has set the stage for his forthcoming third full-length album, How I Fell, scheduled for release on February 16th through Nettwerk. This album, highly anticipated as the follow-up to 2020’s A Change in Diet, offers a profound exploration of past traumas and intricate relationships. In his latest track, Everglades, Moss delves into the realm of nostalgic memories from his youth and the emotional complexities that often follow them. The accompanying music video presents an evocative visual journey, as Elliot reviews a carousel of childhood photos, where the emotional ties of the past come vividly to life.
Elliot explains: “The video reveals the dangers of being so engrossed in chasing happiness that we lose touch with the true depth of our memories. It suggests that by tugging at the threads connecting us to our past, and by trying to alter or erase treasured moments for the sake of present contentment, we risk forgetting the full spectrum of emotions our memories hold. Without them as a foundation, not only does our present feel more shallow, but our search for happiness becomes even more difficult.”
