DIN NYC is the brainchild of Mubashir Mohi-ud-Din, born in Yorkshire, England, to parents who emigrated from Kashmir, India. He’s a multi-talented artist, wearing the hats of a singer/songwriter, film composer, and producer in the vibrant backdrop of New York City. As a solo artist, his track Better Than Nothing marks his second single release, painting a vivid portrait of unrequited yet fulfilling love. This upbeat number channels the influences of the 80s and 90s alternative jangle pop, drawing inspiration from the likes of The Replacements, The Lemonheads, Teenage Fanclub, Oasis, as well as classic icons such as Tom Petty and the 70s-era Rolling Stones. It’s power pop at its zenith, complete with killer guitars that transport you back to 1983, even though it’s 2023!
