Darryl Kissick, a songwriter hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, has recently launched his third full-length album titled Goodbye Patterns. One of the standout tracks from this album, Not Myself, is a glorious sample of his work. The song playfully delves into the theme of turning into a werewolf at night, but it’s not meant to be taken too seriously. It’s inspired by the desire to break free from the monotony of day-to-day life and let one’s inner instincts take over. Musically, it offers an eclectic blend of indie rock and art pop, reminiscent of what it might sound like if Elvis Costello found inspiration in The Ladybug Transistor while listening to Camera Obscura.

The result is a unique and enjoyable musical treat.
