Following an electrifying headline tour in 2023, British artist Danny Mellin returns with a superb new single Ordinary Day (Ordinary Town), featuring collaboration with Alex Quinn (Royston Club, overpass). This dynamic indie rock song draws influences from iconic artists like The Jam, while also incorporating elements from more contemporary acts such as Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand. What sets this track apart is its undeniable nerve, showcased through an addictive bassline and a catchy chorus that lingers in the mind. Mellin’s phlegmatic lyrics add a distinct flavor to the composition, further enhancing its appeal. Ordinary Day (Ordinary Town) is a delightful fusion of old and new, delivering a fresh and captivating sound.

Danny says, “the song came to me at the end of last year when we were backstage at our autumn headline shows. Me and the boys were looking down on Cowley Road watching the passers-by – seeing these characters painted the lyrical landscape of the song”.

The song is accompanied by a cool video directed by Gabe McCarthy.
