Conor Miley‘s Lost Honeybee delves into the profound themes of grief and heartbreak. The song’s lyrics map out a poignant odyssey through the five stages of grief, from the initial denial, traversing through bargaining, anger, and depression, ultimately arriving at a place of acceptance. This emotionally charged track marks the third single from his recently unveiled album, Thousand Yard Stare. Miley’s music provides a deeply introspective and introspective journey for listeners as they explore these themes within his work. It’s a “soul” goldmine!

The track is accompanied by a great video and director Michael-David McKernan has stated:

There’s this huge sense of catharsis in Lost Honeybee. I wanted to start with a really small, intimate moment (a dancer receiving bad news) and then build a journey of release out of that.

Working with actor/dancer Emily Kilkenny Roddy on this was a joy and she holds every frame of this video beautifully. Using the bear head was inspired by when I wore the same head to a music festival this summer. Having the anonymity of a mask gave me permission to dance in ways I wouldn’t have expected to. It definitely didn’t make me a better dancer, but it was a joyous escape. That’s the feeling I got when I listened to the song, and where I wanted this dancer to end up.”
