In the latest release from Colorworks, The Mirror, the band introduces their new vocalist, Siahna Im, known for her appearance on NBC’s The Voice as a contestant on Pharrell Williams’ team at the age of 15. The genesis of this collaboration was a chance encounter between Siahna and the band’s guitarist, where their mutual admiration for Bob Dylan sparked an immediate connection. Penned by the guitarist, The Mirror delves into themes of resignation, acceptance, and anger stemming from the remnants of a fractured relationship. Produced by Jimmy Deng and recorded at dB Music Studio and Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, engineered by Chris Rahm (whose credits include Allen Stone and Alice In Chains), this track represents Colorworks’ finest musical offering to date. With Siahna’s addition completing their sound, the band invites listeners to immerse themselves in the cathartic essence of pop-rock at its catchiest.
