Los Angeles-based Collective Fear (the home-recording project of Michael Guerard) have recently released their 4-track EP Truly Free at Last? and Today is its sublime opener, and lead single; A ravishing blend of heavy shoegaze with 90s alternative rock ethos, and some of the most addictive guitar noise we’ve experienced in the recent past. The vocals are sweet and are ideally combined with the rest of the song’s elements, and we feel this will be an one of a kind crowd-pleaser at their live shows.
