Hailin’ from Louisville, Kentucky, Charm School‘s the new groove Andrew Sellers (or Andrew Rinehart) is slingin’ with his comrades Matt Filip and Drew English. With the rhythm sorcerer Jason Bemis Lawrence in tow, they’re dishing out the goods. Simulacra, straight off their freshly dropped EP “Finite Jest,” is the cream of the crop. This track’s a rebellious shimmy, taking a stab at today’s twisted politics while you’re gettin’ down. Inspired by Jean Baudrillard, it’s flippin’ the bird at society’s twisted reality, a result of our whirlwind affair with fake facades. Sonically? It’s like they nicked the most angular 80s post punk groove and injected it with steroids. Think Gang of Four and Public Image Ltd. vibes on blast.
