Casey Prestwood, an artist and musician from Virginia, is preparing for the release of his album Where I’m Going is Where I’ve Always Been (June 16). The album was recorded live without the use of Pro Tools and was produced by Justin Trevino, who has an impressive background having played with renowned legends such as Hank Thompson, Kitty Wells, and Wanda Jackson. Prior to this, Casey shared a captivating honky tonk sensation called Out of Place, which tells a dark autobiographical story about a friend struggling with an overdose. The track also features the exceptional backing vocals of country’s rising star, Sierra Ferrell.

The live recording captures the essence of vintage country honky tonk sound, and the remarkable collaboration between Prestwood and Ferrell shines as the song’s standout qualities.
