Billy Keane‘s live version of For Always is a gorgeous alt americana/alternative rock anthem, which tells “the brief story of the ending of a relationship, and the continuation of a love for that time past“. Keane’s persuasive vocal performance, the immediate lyrics, the excellent melodic line, the endless pace and the gradual build-up, but above all the ultimate vibe of the live spirit and the volcanic crescendo make this gem differ from the majority of the “heart-broken” song’s category. It’s powerful, and it’s not the bitter emotion that is left after that past love, but the freedom to continue to love somebody, even after going separate ways.
This one is about “true love“, and it’s utterly adorable!
