Edmonton’s indie pop group, Baby Jey, is pushing the boundaries of genre with their track Swing Like This, aiming to get listeners on their feet in an anti-capitalist dance floor anthem. This unique song blends elements of pedal steel guitar with a hammond organ tone from a Yamaha DX7 keyboard, reminiscent of the ’90s dance music and r&b. While it may seem like an unexpected fusion, the result is exceptionally catchy and instantly familiar, thanks to its reggae flavor.

Baby Jey’s sophomore album, Crop Circles, set for release on November 24th, showcases their prairie upbringing and a fluid fusion of ballads, indie pop, and dance-forward tracks that expand in a cosmic direction, promising a diverse and captivating musical journey.
