Sheffield-based duo Åyusp, -Graham McElearney and Paul Jonathan Mills-, have recently unveiled their latest single, Traumen. This track presents a captivating blend of electronica reminiscent of Jean-Michel Jarre’s atmospheric compositions and the hypnotic krautrock stylings of Klaus Schulze. The version released is a remixed radio edit, offering a taste of the full-length version that will be featured on the duo’s upcoming second album, set to be released later this year. The title “Traumen,” derived from the German word for “dreaming,” alludes to the track’s ability to traverse multiple distinct yet converging sections, evoking a sense of moving through a strange yet beautiful dream. With its mesmerizing progression, Traumen invites listeners on a sonic journey that merges different sonic landscapes into a cohesive and enchanting experience.
