Agent blå, the Swedish indie pop maestros, are renowned for crafting dreamy soundscapes that seamlessly blend post punk and shoegaze elements. The latest offering, STAB!, showcases a broader musical spectrum, drawing influences from krautrock, instrumental, and psychedelic genres, while preserving their post punk roots. Recorded under spartan conditions in Studio Bella Figura, Gothenburg, the album’s first single, Discount, is a “tsunami” comeback, echoing the haunting essence of their debut single Strand. With Emelie Alatalo’s evocative vocals leading the charge, Agent blå continues to redefine their sonic landscape.
