Nightbus – ‘Smalltalk’

About Nightbus

Early 2020, Sena Verdi and Louise Wellby were linked together, instantly unlocking a potent creative chemistry leading them to write together, laying the foundations for Nightbus.

London born and bred vocalist/lyricist Louise aka Skylu has been experimenting as a singer-songwriter, collaborator and champion of new music on the London live scene for over a decade. Having been musically match made with British-Iranian producer Sena Verdi in the midst of a global pandemic, she uncovered her voice in its truest form and Nightbus was born. Sena Verdi is best known for his work as Lyonheart, which has seen him release music with dance heavyweights (BT, Paul Oakenfold, Chicane) and collaborate with fellow Grammy-nominated artist Aqualung.

The ease with which they both write together comes from a wealth of experience, a creative process honed over years and the freedom to take risks. As previously established artists in their own right, they have each performed at many venues and music festivals in their respective careers before Nightbus, with BBC Introducing and BBC 6Music features, slots at Isle of Wight and Reading & Leeds Festival.

Nightbus are a perfect symbiosis of Louise’s raw, truthful storytelling complemented by the hook-driven, powerfully cinematic production that Sena is best known for (having scored film music for Rankin, Hunger TV and Sky). Now, they are ready to share Nightbus with the world.

New Wolves – ‘City Air’

About New Wolves

New Wolves are a 3 piece indie electronica band formed in 2019. Brought up in the space where the Welsh mountains rise and the old industries fail, the band throw both concepts in their acoustic meets broken synthesizer instrumentation, and high, floating vocals with contrasting low, rhythmic harmonies.

They are building a good reputation with the music blogs and radio for creating warm, wonky, synth driven guitar music. Their distinctive sound, at once strangely leftfield but familiar enough to draw in the alt-curious, has been described with the question: “What would a 2020 Kraftwerk sound like if Elliot Smith was in the band?”
