Xondra – ‘Inner Child’

About Xondra

Xondra (she/they) is the musical moniker of Alexondra O’Connell. Born to Cuban/Puerto Rican and Irish parents and raised on Long Island, New York, she found her love for music and songwriting at a young age. As a child she would sit in front of the radio for hours, writing down lyrics that struck a chord with her and creating new songs out of those lyrics. In her teens, she started to write her own songs as a means to process her growing pains and, at 18, Xondra headed to SUNY Purchase’s Music Conservatory to further hone her skills and find her sound.

Blending elements of pop, rock, R&B and indie-pop, her music explores feminist themes with heartbreakingly honest delivery. Across the six tracks that make up her upcoming EP, ‘Tedious & Brief,’ Xondra shares her experience of being a woman trying to survive in a man’s world. “I wrote this story for all of the people who have been hurt by the people who were supposed to love and keep you safe,” she says. “I wrote Tedious & Brief for all the people learning to speak up even if their voice trembles.”

min.a – ‘company’

About min.a

23 year old Korean-American artist min.a has been on a path to redefine pop music in her own image.

Since 2018 min.a has delivered a host of singles and EPs that introduce the use of musical dissonance, backed by electronic sonics, to her traditional pop-sensibilities in a way that boldly sets her apart from the crowd. Using the techniques she’s gained from a lifetime of musical influence – from growing up enthralled by her grandfather’s violin playing to competing on South Korean singing competition show, K-Pop Star, at sixteen to her recent graduation from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music – min.a plays a critical role in every stage of her music’s creation and the art that surrounds it.

Often touching on themes of insecurity and the existential fear of growing older, min.a’s music acts as a window into her mind that only seems to grow clearer as she matures her sound.

Hot Work – ‘Baby Boy’

About Hot Work

Hot Work was founded by four men from Sydney’s Inner West who bonded over a penchant for surf-rock and contempt for the patriarchy. Fusing sun-drenched rock, punk, doo-wop, and psychedelia, they have a vintage sound with a decidedly 2022 message. Debut concept album Boys Club (out early 2022) is an unflinching exploration of toxic masculinity – and a gutsy, infectious sonic ride.

Lyves – ‘The System’

About Lyves

Lyves is the amazing solo project of British-born Italian Australian singer, songwriter, and producer Francesca Bergami. Deeply inspired by music that feels raw and deeply personal, Lyves draws influences from sonic soundscapes that run the eclectic gamut, from Enya, Moby, and Philip Glass to Bill Withers, Frank Ocean, and James Blake. Despite coming to music quite “late”, having studied psychology and worked as a mental health advocate for sectioned children and adults, Lyves has been able to channel that advocacy role into her music, where she supports and nurtures her listener into healing, honesty, growth, and empowerment.

With over 60 million streams online and critical acclaim from global tastemakers including Rolling Stone, NME, BBC 6 Music and KEXP, Lyves is revered for her emotive lyrical themes, empowering voice, and making music that digs deep. Having taken the past two years away from the limelight to hone her craft as a producer and songwriter even further, Lyves is excited to bring listeners into this new era of her music, which feels even more revealing, raw and free than previous works, underpinned by a fusion of genre influences, from jazz, Motown and soul to experimental electronica, folk and R&B, which has always been at the heart of what she does.
