About Tiz McNamara

Tiz McNamara is an Irish singer songwriter and drummer who has racked up over 7 Million streams on Spotify with his independent releases. Before his first birthday, Tiz lost his father and two brothers in tragic accidents which have shaped his debut EP dedicated to his father and brothers who’s anniversary falls on the release date.

Originally a drummer since the age of 3 Tiz went on to study a music degree course in the prestigious Liverpool institute for Performing Arts. In his second year at LIPA, Tiz narrowly avoided having his foot amputated after a Piano fell on it, but the injury was so severe it forced him to swap his drums for a guitar in order to continue on the course. Shortly after changing instruments Tiz took up singing and began to write his own songs including his first ever penned tune ‘Falling Asleep’ which appears on this debut EP ‘April Fool’.

Yune – ‘Ørkensangen’ (Radio Edit)

About Yune

Ørkensangen is the thematic cornerstone of the upcoming debut album from the Danish quintet Yune and serves as a taster for a rock album with a streak of touareg heat at its core. Despite the Danish title, which translates to ‘The Desert Song’, the song is in English.

Cellos, dusty synths, church bells colour a soundscape through which two guitar lines whirl effortlessly around and through each other like dust devil across the desert floor. At its centre, singer Tobias Sachse’s voice guides us through a narrative about searching for answers within oneself in a seemingly hopeless situation, and ultimately leaving something behind without knowing what’s on the horizon just yet. Being lost in the desert is an apt metaphor for the song, in other words, and Ørkensangen is a strong introduction to the sound of an exciting new act, ready to share their debut album in March 2020.
