Obscenity State – ‘Shine’
About Obscenity State
Passion, blood ties and cultural complexity drove the cinematic vision behind Nilly Brook’s Obscenity State. Poetically transcending the ages, Obscenity State transfix listeners with their unique blend of electronica, post-punk sonics, twisting female vocals and intense dance rhythms. Performing as a four-piece act, audio-reactive visuals, abstract art and animations are woven into their performance, submerging the audience into their alternative world.
Driven by her experience growing up in a family torn by revolution, Nilly became hyper-aware of the corruption of power in its various forms from an early age. Seeking clarity, she immersed herself in world politics, art, animation and music, processing and transforming the energies around her. What emerged was an evolving creative force culminating in Obscenity State’s debut EP Break the Mould due for release in spring 2019.

Lomb – ‘Princess’
About Lomb
Beauty and sadness are twin sisters, and there’s plenty of both in LoMB’s debut album “Cuts”, out now on cult label Seahorse Recordings.
Based in the creative hub of Catania and born in 1971, Giuseppe Lombardo can write songs that sound – and actually are – honest and intense, a merciless attempt to heal wounds that life gives us, often invisible but deeper than tattoos. His kindred souls are Tom Waits, Sir King Ink “Let Love In” era, Morphine, but also the burning alt.folk of Willard Grant Conspiracy and Steve Wynn’s “days of wine and roses”.
LomB is the very last adventure for Lombardo, who’s been on the edgy and avantgarde scenes since early ’90s, when he toured Hungary with his first post punk-new wave band, called Nerves’ Korut, whose song “Taste of money” was produced by Fugazi’s Don Zientara. His next project, called Plank, released in 1998 an album produced by Agostino Tilotta from Uzeda, and with the later bands Baffos and Ute Puta he shared stages with Sonic Youth, Wire, Old Time Relijun, Melt Banana and No Means No. His latest group Zuma released the album “Less Is More” in 2013 on Viceversa Records, produced by dark folk italian songwriter Cesare Basile.
To be creative is actually a visceral need for Giuseppe Lombardo, who’s a graphic designer and photographer in “everyday life”, and LoMB is for sure his most intimate and challenging adventure up-to-date, deserving a proper place in those holy desert lands where freaks and beautiful losers drink at the moon.

Assassins – ‘Shout About It’
About Assassins
From 1981 – 1989 Assassins honed their skills around the pumping Melbourne pub scene, developing their distinct Rock edge. It was only in 2015 that Craig, Andrew and Eddie’s paths crossed per chance and Assassins sparked a new beginning. Now, having released their debut EP, Alive Again, in July 2017 the band are releasing their new EP Confidence.
The band commenced rehearsing and writing new material drawing from their very different journeys in life. The agenda was always to move forward and not look back as new sounds and life experiences flowed into the Assassins, creating a mature force that recognises the fundamentals of raw Australian rock and can be felt throughout the four tracks of Confidence. Assassins’independent roots remain at the core of their tried and true sound with playing live an absolute life priority.

Day Joy – ‘Not Anymore’
About Day Joy
“I started making sad sleepy music as DAY JOY in 2013 in response to my, then partner’s, episodic NIGHT TERRORS. You could say the artistic goal back then was to make the musical opposite of someone screaming in a dark room. After receiving a considerable critical response to those early recordings, I eventually compiled a full-length debut LP and signed with Small Plates Records.
A live band was assembled and a few years of national touring followed. This upward trajectory was halted when my younger brother suddenly passed away and I could no longer focus on the project.
It’s taken me a while to pick up the pieces and the album chronicling the past 5 years is expectedly dark. However, I do think those who have been to the brink will find some value in the lyrics and peace in the instrumentation. At least, that is my goal.”

Deathcrush – ‘Dumb’
About Deathcrush
DEATHCRUSH doesn’t fit into one category, and neither do you. Their references and combinations are as broad as their fanbase, the artists they’re put together with, and the generes they pick from. EuroDance meets Grunge, NoWave crossed with BlackMetal, NoiseRock combined with HipHop – it’s unrestrained, primal and surprisingly catchy and danceable. DEATHCRUSH is an implosion of the status quo, a true concentration of matter and energy.

Spirit Award – ‘Mountain’
About Spirit Award
Seattle indie-psych trio Spirit Award has shared a new single called “Mountain,” available to stream now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all DSPs worldwide. “Mountain” is the A Side of the band’s upcoming 7” vinyl Currency – out this May. The release comes in partnership with Seattle non-profit label Share It Music, whose model centers around artists and the label sharing 25% of proceeds with a charity of the artist’s choice. Spirit Award has chosen to donate to Mary’s Place, an organization that provides safe, inclusive shelter and services for women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness. Currency’s A and B side also circulate around the idea of wealth and greed. Spirit Award is coming off their recently released album Muted Crowd, which drew high praise from Billboard, The Line of Best Fit, Earmilk, and Seattle’s NPR affiliate, KEXP.
Share It Music is run by Cayle Sharratt, a Washington state native that began his career in the music business as an intern at the iconic Seattle-based record label Sub Pop Records. Share It Music is operated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and its releases are distributed worldwide by Sub Pop Records.
“Share It’s vision of what they wanted to do for bands, people, and giving back to the community was very exciting and inspiring,” explains vocalist Daniel Lyon. “We are thrilled to be putting this out on a non-profit label, and giving 25% of sales to Mary’s Place. We named the two song album Currency because the two songs center around greed, the struggle to have affordable housing, and the large wealth gap that we see/feel personally in Seattle, but also in cities throughout the country and beyond. As artists working in a city with prices ceaselessly increasing, we are often forced to work many hours at multiple jobs in order to maintain the ability to afford to live, making it ever harder to find time and support as artists. This art is the ‘currency’ that matters most to us, and we want to find ways to use it to bring positivity to people’s lives.”
In addition to releasing new music, Spirit Award have announced a stretch of European and Moroccan tour dates in April.

Holden Laurence – ‘Shadows of Old Love’
About Holden Laurence
Cleveland Indie/Alternative artist Holden Laurence is set to release his sophomore album,Rewire, on May 10th, 2019, and will celebrate with a release show at Mahall’s on May 17th alongside Niights and Punch Drunk Tagalongs.
On his debut, Wild Empty Promises, Holden Laurence burst onto the Cleveland music scene and garnered widespread praise for his unique combination of 80s Alternative and vivid, vulnerable songwriting.
“Wild Empty Promises is a fantastic debut that blends Mope-rock, Post-punk and New Wave deftly… with its bittersweet tone and cinematic delivery.” – Cleveland Scene Magazine
On Rewire, Holden expands his musical and emotional palettes with walls of synths and glassy guitars, driving grooves, and songwriting that is equal parts eloquent and visceral. The textures are more lush, the drums more bombastic, and the sonic landscapes more vast. While songs like “Shadows of Old Love” and “Mary Magdalene,” are natural extensions of Wild Empty Promises, Holden broadens his creative scope with the infectious road-trip rush of “Speaking in Tongues,” and the heartbreaking honesty of “Rewire” and “Roses and a Romeo Mask.”

Man And Robot Society – ‘Acid Reign’
About Man And Robot Society
‘Man and Robot Society’ is musician and song writer Jeff Hopp.
“Technology has a way of amplifying our inner nature and revealing our most creative and destructive sides. As we merge into a man and machine hybrid, we have a very unique evolutionary opportunity – we can actually choose what we want to become. Will we become more and more a smart phone zombie, or blossom into an intellectual and physical super hero? I feel there is already a struggle to keep our humanity”.
