Nouhi’s Nomad – ‘Wading’

About Nouhi’s Nomad

Nouhi’s Nomad is an Iranian-American multi-instrumentalist genre-fluid creator based in New York City. Nomad showed an early interest in music, starting with the violin at the age of three before moving to the piano at age eight. He later studied percussion, notably the tombak. At age twelve he found his calling as a singer and began studying classical voice and singing in professional choirs. He picked up guitar and bass finally in college. Nomad is also a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School ofMusic & Art and Performing Arts where he sang the title character of Orpheus in their production of Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach. In addition to his background in classical music, Persian music and contemporary rock are a few more of his influences—with all three shining through within his Persian percussion, hypnotic and unique melodies, as well as stripped-down guitar backings. Nomad’s self-titled album further expands on these influences, while still leaving much room for experimentation. Bringing a warm and vintage style and sensitive lyrics to the forefront, Nouhi’s Nomad is a refreshing modern listen for anyone with a love of indie rock and the groovy state of nostalgia.

Know0ne Self – ‘Give Me Your Secrets’

About Know0ne Self

Hailing from Las Vegas, my interest in dance music started around 96. I bought my first out of tune pair of Technics 1200’s that couldn’t hold a pitch well. I DJ’d around the city at lounges and house parties but ultimately lost interest as I couldn’t fully express myself. I bought my pc and downloaded Ableton and have officially found what I have been looking for. The creative outlet to get my unique love for the music into the ears of others like me. I am just getting started and I have notepads from years of ideas that I need to get created. I have only just began…

Cy – ‘My Name’

About Cy

Cy is the DIY solo project by colorful Stockholm-based songwriter Amanda Cygnaeus. Crafting a timeless, eclectic indie-pop universe with a lush mix of soulful melodies, scratchy guitar riffs and honest stories straight from her iPhone-diary, with influences brought all the way from melodic contemporary R&B to raw alt-rock soundscapes. As a songwriter, Cy has already been recognized across the industry for her characteristic vocals and ability to move freely between genres. Her dazzling, moody writing style can be heard on songs by artists such as LÉON, Iggy Azalea, Paloma Faith and Soleima. In March 2021, she is shedding light on herself for the first time with debut single ‘My Name Next to Yours’.

Cy was born in London and grew up in Stockholm. She wrote her first song at age 9, about wanting to go to heaven to spend time with the angels. A young girl’s way of processing the feelings surrounding her mother’s passing. Amanda and her dad bonded and comforted each other through music, and songwriting has since been a way of empowering herself. Her fragile stories about relationships and broken hearts are all collected from her diary. “I’ve been writing small notes of how I feel everyday since I was a kid. This is where I go back when writing songs, or just wanting to understand why I’m in a certain mood,” she says.

Signed to Universal Music Publishing, 26-year-old Amanda Cygnaeus has worked as a songwriter for several years and moved between London, Los Angeles and Stockholm, collaborating with producers such as Brian Lee (Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez), Oliver Frid (Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa) and Magnus Lidehäll (Seinabo Sey, Avicii). In 2018, she was nominated for ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ by Swedish Music Publishers Association.
