Abc Dialect – ‘Searching’

About Abc Dialect

Abc Dialect formed in 2017 by London-based Argentinians, Tomás Susevich and Luca Oliva Knight.

The two producers now work out of their recently relocated studio in Barcelona.

Collectively, the two have dedicated years of their lives honing their unique and palatable sound. A sound that features live electronic instrumentation, melodic ‘radio-friendly’ vocals, and funky rhythm. Their records are a culmination of genuine songwriting and upbeat production that has been described as “smooth house vibes with a pseudo-psychedelic edge.”

Drawing influences from both the past and present the band sites inspiration from legacy acts like Kool & The Gang and The Whispers while also referencing newer artists like The Whitest Boy Alive and Jamiroquai.

The origin of their name was inspired by a trip to Japan. While traveling, the duo realized the dialect of their music was much different than that of other cultures on the eastern side of the world. This was a defining moment for the songwriters as they knew that they wanted their music to extend much past western hemisphere. The duo selected their name as a play on words addressing the dialect in which their music is created; with the goal of having their music universally accepted by all.

The duo is gearing up the release their second EP this spring. It will be titled “Real Life” and is set to be released via the label imprint Casablanca Sunset. The group is also working on their debut album which is expected to land later this year or early next. More to come from the promising group.
