Taija New – ‘Body on Revenge’

About Taija New

Taija New, a.k.a. the Newbian King, is a Rhythmic Pop entertainer who humbly began her musical journey at open mics in her hometown , Springfield, Massachusetts, where she honed her skills for live performance. News of Taija’s performances traveled the old-fashioned way, by word-of-mouth, as her evolution from an unpolished act to an undeniable force developed quickly; eventually gaining the attention of regional show directors.

In 2015, she released her debut EP “Color Me Complex” which included her popular single ‘Newbian King’; a song that defies the gender binary and bore her nickname. Her single “Glitter”, an ode to her beloved fans in the LGBTQIA+ community, led to “The Pride Tour” where she was blessed to grace the stage of Pride festivals across the U.S. Since then she has delivered two more projects including the 2017 release of her highly-anticipated sophomore album, “Heart on the Stage”, that was followed up by a two year album-titled tour.

Her live shows have been seen across North America where she has performed on the same stage as major acts such as: Jennifer Hudson, Todrick Hall, K.Michelle, and Tiffany Evans. Fresh off the release of her new single ‘Couture’, a nod to 90’s Hip-Hop as well as the mixtape era, Taija is currently completing her fourth project and gearing up for her third tour. Sofi Gev – ‘Someday, Maybe’

About Sofi Gev

Sofi Gev is the solo project of American singer-songwriter and indie pop artist Hannah Lovelady. Influenced by such artists as Birdy, Aurora, Coeur De Pirate, Shara Nova of My Brightest Diamond, and Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes, her music layers introspective, offbeat lyrics and delicate vocals over a dreamy blend of indie pop, electronica, and indie folk. Her earliest and most enduring musical influence came from her father singing Joni Mitchell songs to her at night as a child.

Sofi Gev’s songwriting began in her childhood, entertaining herself on family road trips by making up silly songs with her younger sister. After piano lessons, she started playing the French horn in middle school band class and continued through high school. She honed her sense of melody by singing the words of recipes from cookbooks accompanied by her father playing acoustic guitar.

If you listen closely, you will hear revealed in an intimate yet universal way a woman bravely, fearfully, but honestly embracing and confronting life.

BLYN – ‘YNML’

About BLYN

BLYN, made up of four Seattleite friends, are back at it, with the release of their new single “YNML” (you need my love).

YNML or “you need my love” is written from the perspective of a person wrestling with the reality of political and social polarization, not only within society but within themselves. On an internal level, they feel pulled apart by different, and at times, opposing ideologies, not knowing how to mediate between them. In the midst of this, accepting that government leaders and policies drastically impact people and that change is needed in order to care for the marginalized and oppressed in our society. On one hand, this song is a protest against the powers that be, and on the other hand, a protest against the contempt and apathy within ourselves to actually take action.

Initially titled “Yorker”, YNML contains inspiration from Thom Yorke of the band, Radiohead. The toggle between minor and major movements along with a melodic bassline provides the foundation that YNML was built on. The eerie undertones and rhythmic textures enable the song to take shape as the rest of the instruments make their way in and throughout the song.

ICEBERG – ‘Can’t Forgive Me’

About ICEBERG

ICEBERG, an indie rock artist, producer, multi-instrumentalist who just moved from London to a cabin in upstate New York, is about to release the Can’t Forgive Me, second single off her upcoming, self-produced EP, Swim. Known for her strikingly evocative vocals, sincere writing style and production skills, ICEBERG’s music has a mesmerizing and ethereal quality that draws you in. Co-writer to X-Factor winner Matt Terry and engineer/female vocalist for Aston Microphones, ICEBERG has racked up an impressive track record in the industry outside of being an artist. Having toured the US and Europe extensively, hitting festivals and music venues across both continents, she has had two songs chart – including ‘Moving Silently’ (from her second album), which reached #18 on the Euro Indie Music Chart. Referencing her intimate and stirring sound, No Depression Magazine published the following review: “Great music has the ability to talk to the head, the heart, move the limbs, sway the hips, stimulate the senses and stick in the memory. A great voice, however, does nothing less than talk to your very soul.” After touring for four years and being disheartened by a lack of female producers to work with, she moved to London to study music production and engineering at BIMM University. Two years ago ICEBERG opened Glassnote Productions in order to help female, gay and trans artists release their music.
