With this brief statement by the solicitors acting on behalf of his family said in a statement the bitter news about Peter Green‘s death, at the age of 73, spread to the world af ew hours ago, as BBC reports. The legendary artists was the English blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist & the founder of Fleetwood Mac. Having been one of the most outsatnding guitarists, he was one of the main forces for the evolution of Blues rock scene, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
My personal best, and in fact the initial, in-depth, contact, with Green and Fleetwood Mac was the formidable 1969 album ‘Then Play On‘, whose almost half the tracks were written by him. Masterpieces like ‘Closing My Eyes‘, ‘Rattlesnake Shake‘ & ‘Before The Beginning‘ will always be ‘scarred’ on our mind and soul.
Britain and the rest of the world, has lost one of the most considerable blues rock guitarists of all time….. Although The Sun Is Shining.
