Introducing the self-released debut EP of East London two-piece Modern Technology.

Modern Technology formed through a shared frustration of a post-truth society and political unrest that is currently suffocating our global conscious. Chris Clarke (bass & vocals) and Owen Gildersleeve (drums) confront these issues head-on, tackling themes of political injustice, social anxiety, austerity and inequality.

All profits from the release will be shared between housing and homelessness charity Shelter and mental-health charity Mind.

“it’s like the first time I heard Nirvana, Sonic Youth or Fugazi – that same sense of danger mingled with excitement. This is a band that matters and whose music means something. … this is an essential purchase and cannot come highly recommended enough. 10/10” – SonicAbuse

“some solid’n’serious noiserock that’s got an ‘Amphetamine Reptile signing circa 1993’ vibe at its briskest, the faintly jazzy sauropod plod of Oxbow or Harvey Milk in its low-bpm moments.” – The Quietus

“Six tracks of utter angst and dejection… the perfect soundtrack for the looming apocalypse. 8/10” – Disagreement

“It doesn’t take long to figure out these songs convey deep conviction… Good work on these guys for not just spreading the message, but backing it with personal action, and it’s a damn good album too – noisy and blown-out, I dig it!” – FuzzHeavy Podcast
