We feel more than honored here at Last Day Deaf for the exclusive album premiere of Portland based instrumental rock/post-rock band This World Has Bees‘ ‘Nearer‘ debut EP. Our very own Drew Dickinson (formerly in The Requisite) on bass, Branden Clements and Keith McBride on guitars & Bill Pennings on drums are a more than promising quartet that play their own, unique, passionate, post-rock music with distinctive drone & post-metal touches. ‘Nearer‘ is a great example, that post-rock genre can and (will always) offer this unique freedom to dream with eyes…open!

This World Has Bees, a Portland based instrumental rock/post-rock band, is releasing its debut EP, ‘Nearer‘, on April 7th. The EP was recorded over the fall and winter at the Maine Music Mill in the Fort Andross building in Brunswick, Maine.
They are marking the occasion with a show at Empire on Congress Street in Portland on April 7, 2018. Joining them on the bill will be Wess Meets West, a highly respected instrumental rock band from Connecticut who recently signed to Hassle Records; Boston-based, international post-rock powerhouse Pray For Sound; and local duo Quad, who use only a cello and drums to create a new take on funk, rock, hip-hop and progressive music.
