Indie-rocker C-Drain has unveiled a new video for his brand new single ‘Come On‘, which arrives on streaming and download platforms today. The punkish slice of indie is driven by choppy new wave guitar riffs, raw garage-pop vocals and opens with a line from cult high-school movie Dazed & Confused.
“Come On! is the first single from my new EP,” explains the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. “Each track on the EP is there to represent a season, and Come On! is the summer. It just has that positive energy that summer brings, that feeling of wanting to get out there and party.”
Based between his native Athens and his adopted home of London, C-DRAIN is the alter-ego of versatile musician, songwriter and producer Christos Pappas. Fuelled by a passion for independence and punk DIY spirit, C-Drain releases see him playing and recording every instrument on each track and then enlisting friends to join him for live shows. With previous support from BBC Radio, the great Brian Wilson sharing his music on Facebook and the new EP dropping on 1st March, he is a European version of shape-shifting garage-rock auteurs like Ty Segall and Ezra Furman.
