Spire Circle’s Skin and Bones is a dimly glowing ember in the dark wave night—taut, melodic, and unapologetically moody. Rather than merely echoing genre tropes, the Manchester outfit carves out a space where stark vulnerability meets a strangely danceable gloom. Gregg Neville’s deep vocal timbre rides cold, brittle synth lines, while the bass (courtesy of Dec Sherry) adds a post punk undercurrent that’s hard to ignore. It’s not just the final track of the Burning Alive EP—it feels like the quiet aftermath of an emotional collapse. Beautiful, raw, and addictively bleak.
