What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I guess it was a physical reaction to outside social materialism and its consequences. Making music is like a drug that cleans and lightens the soul. City life especially seems unbearable without a creative element.

Our first record was a surprise and it came at a very unstable time for us so what followed was like a rollercoaster ride that ended in the studio working on the next album. That experience had a bit of an asylum vibe in it, and finally we had a good result after a long time of recording and mixing, thanks to our friend Giorgo, who despite all the problems, had the faith and the patience to do the best he could.
Now things are so different after the release of the new baby, we have a beautiful balance between us and we cannot wait to tour the album and even record another one.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

“Original Sins” is our third full-length album and we love it. It was released on November 13, 2024. I believe there is a stronger balance thematically on this one between satirical, social and psychedelic lyrical themes.
This album features 12 tracks, including Singles Fat Jirad, Feel Alright, and We Don’t Like It. The recording and mixing were done at Zero Gravity Studios by Dimitris Dimitriadis, while mastering was handled at Athens Mastering Studios by Anestis Psaradakos. The album’s cover art was created by Symbolic Design.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Ah there is too much shit out there and the thing is that we really care about ‘em.
Guess what!?

Visible and invisible war is going’ on in many places and in many levels and we feel useless, helpless, hopeless, empathetic and angry.
Nice influence huh?
We also still try to love and be loved so we have our personal inside war that feeds the creative beast. It may be a cliche but life is our biggest influence both personal and social.

We listen to almost every kind of music genre and everything that speaks in our soul, inspires us. But, ROCK’N’ROLL in its raw, artistic and real form is running in our blood.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

To tell you the truth, we don’t care about it. Artists just exist and do their stuff, and journalists observe and do their analysis.
But if you want an answer, I believe that the mixing of our broad musical influences is what shapes The Sexy Christians Lollipop.
Our sound is a fusion of rock ‘n’ roll energy, funky grooves, and pop hooks with psychedelic horny drops. We experiment and blend these different styles all because we like them. We never try to sound like ourselves, we just do.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Threeeee????? Are you serious?
The song “We don’t like it” represents our feelings for that question.
Anyway…
Albums: 1. Fire of Psychocandy That lord taught us
2. Selected ambient Fat songs of love and puke in the morning with rage seeking cure Coltrane.
3. Donna Summer – I Feel Love
Movies: Step brothers, Wings of Desire, Emmanuella the movie
Books. All Sepulveda, All Hesse, the origin of the species by you know who…

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Extraordinary fantasies come to life in both cases. In the studio we can be whatever we want, in a live performance we are whatever YOU want.
We need both.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

There is only darkness, sadness and PAIN in our music Career.
Except the time that Kostas’ negativity made Kimo puke in rage.
We had fun that day, even without LSD.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Chuchu
because it is not a song

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?
