What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

I’ve always been interested in making music my entire life, but I didn’t dig into it until I was in college. I was kinda scared that if I know about how to make music I would start paying attention to the production rather than the song itself, like analyzing it without knowing it. I just wanted to feel the pure joy of listening to music. When I knew nothing about filmmaking I would fantasize about everything in the movies as magic but since studied filmmaking every time when I see an interesting shot it’s difficult for me to not wonder about how it was made. It is nice to learn tho, but sometimes I just want to be the audience who’s getting “fooled”. I just wanted to be the listener who doesn’t care about the tricks behind a song.

I made some music major friends in college and a friend produced the song I wrote back in high school. I had so much fun seeing a song turned into a track and that was the moment I knew that I’ve got to do this, not because I want to go anywhere, it’s out of pure joy. Then I started to write more, listen to more music and I learned to produce too, making music gradually became the most important part of my life. I lose the track of time when I work, I forget about the entire world when making songs, also I’ve got a perfect excuse to put my phone away. Making music is an escape for me, it became my company.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

I just released my first single “friEND” early April and I will be releasing more music for sure. “Watch Me” and “Freaks” will be out soon. “Freaks” gotta be one of my favorite tracks that I’ve written, it’s about a problem a lot of people are facing, some people don’t love themselves, they just want to love others and be loved. I was like that too and I’m still learning to love myself. “Watch Me” talks about the possessiveness of relationships.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Anime, Naruto (my favorite anime of all time), hip hop, death metal, hard rock.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

I’m not from here so I have the influences from my background, it’s nice to hear something different sometimes, like watching a foreign movie.

I feel lonely no matter if I’m around people or not but I’m totally okay with it, I hope that I can share my feelings with someone who I don’t know, and with those who may feel the same way so they would know that they’re not alone.

My feelings in the songs are brutally honest. There are a lot of feelings words can’t convey but songs can. I wish people can feel a piece of my heart or they can discover their own hearts in music.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

A pocket knife, a nail clipper, an umbrella.

Albums, movies, books won’t work for me, I hate to watch something over and over again like an endless cycle, I don’t want to experience something that I can see the ending, I love the unknowns.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Definitely performing live. I love imperfections, I’m always seeking perfection in the studio. Also English is not my first language, I am getting better tho but still, when I hear the recordings I did a while ago or even just a few months ago I would hear a difference, but I gotta record the songs anyway.

It’s not I don’t have a high standard for singing live, it’s that I get the chance to go crazy, to try something new and fun, I tend to play safe in the studio to give it a textbook version. I love performing with a live band, I LOVE the energy. I love sharing my music, sharing my heart with those who are listening, who are present at the show. I feel very grateful when singing live and when there are people watching. I may face situations unpredictable but that’s part of the fun when singing live.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

I work on my pronunciation before recording so my voice lessons are basically accent reduction lessons, it’s funny that the words I have trouble with always happen to be some words like “shit, ass, murder…” and I still gotta work on the word murder…

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Probably “LITTLE”, a song I’m currently working on. Everything about the song’s pretty straightforward but it has my entire heart in it. Hope I can share it with the world soon.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

I don’t have a label so I have total control over releasing my music. I really want to keep making music and releasing stuff. People tell me there’s gotta be a 6-week gap before each release but I’m so done with waiting, so I’ll be releasing new music every month.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

just something to share,

I’m an introvert, I don’t talk too much and people usually think that I’m shy but it’s always because I just don’t want to talk or I don’t see the point of sharing my thoughts.

I don’t want to be judged or get misunderstood, but people judge you anyway and they have an idea of who they think you are no matter what you do, what you say.

I can never be someone in the group who keeps talking, who can fire up the energy. I like to sit quietly and listen.
