What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.
After growing up in a small north Georgia farm town, then moving to Atlanta, then moving to New York City, then to Los Angeles, I guess I got homesick and puked all of my inspirations into a fresh white commode and called it Oceaneater. I don’t think that much about it, just creating garbage out of trash. You know, like a sustainable sound man.
Provide us with some info about your latest release…
It was written by myself and produced by Evan Andree. He also plays drums on it. Strike Twice is one of many singles to come. It’s the epiphany one might have when so many unlucky things are happening to them so they just laugh about it. Like a lucky curse.
Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?
Anything that sounds timelessly pissed off. Psychedelic folk is pretty tight.
In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?
Its southern surf rock. Ha yeah i’d listen to that.
Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…
good mourning (alkaline trio) / self titled (third eye blind) / Melted (ty segall)
Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?
live is so much more sick. Connecting with people is a crucial detail within art. Well at least mine.
Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?
Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?
Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?
Going to release more singles and play some shows hopefully. Making stains all over the commode and then flushing it. Rinse and repeat.
Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…
