What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

Richard: We met at a party in a kitchen attached to an ancient church in Caen, I was sweating profusely and about to collapse when a beautiful french girl came up to me an gave a cartoon.

Muriel: At the time I saw MNTTAB playing in France, I was still playing with an alternative rock band but then our bass player had a baby ,so had to stop playing. We were in contact over the net, and Dik asked me if I was willing to sing on his music, I said “yes” and we started creating.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

Muriel: We made a video and 5 five new tracks are cooking !

Richard: It takes us a long time to get our songs finished, so its a massive relief to turn these loose and let them find their way in the world.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Muriel : Everything has an influence. The weather, what’s happening to the people around me, the latest discoveries in quantum physics…
I’m very influenced by the hatred and despise I feel when I hear what’s being played in nightclubs ,supermarkets, places You have no choice but to hear crap.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

Muriel: Different, abrupt, sharp, disturbing.
Richard: Our music has its feet tied with the constraints of Genre but the head is all over the place, and it cant keep its hands to itself.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Muriel: I used to very much enjoy rehearsals with a real band, it was very much fun, always a bit different, trying new sounds, and then we would gather and listen to the session to decide what’s nice to keep.
But I’m very shy and I prefer studio than live playing now.I find it hard to manage the adrenaline on the stage.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Richard: Career? We are running it in reverse… emerging from the cabaret circuit , through the bloated drug years and the difficult second album until we finally produce that seminal debut and split up after playing one show in the Caen battle of the bands…. probably using borrowed equipment.

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Muriel : Our lastest : Robots (do it better). Just because I love it, When You enjoy something , it’s not rational, it’s beyond words.

Richard: Our next one.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?
