What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

The decision to create Coyote’s Arrow was taken during the winter of 2014, due to the need for expression and creation. Our roots are Deus ex machina (dimitris Manthos, stavros ex.) and Nonmandol (Eva Kolomvou). Mainly we enjoy each others company and we are something like a family, wich was happening way before the creation of the band . Someone had the idea to jam and it went really well so 5 years later we are still jamming with our best friends.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

AHO is our new album. It was recorded in the summer of 2018 and was released the December of the same year. Our songs are about things that take place in our lives , our times and our planet.. Feeling the urge to deliver some kind of message for those whose voice is silenced, that’s why Coyote’s Arrow always points against misanthropy, racism and everything that transforms people in to puppets of the system.
Our sound is a variety of many different styles like post punk or hard rock , tribal and many more..

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

In our band we are 6 people from 25 years old to 50 something so, you can imagine the huge variety of influences we have. Never the less I have to mention Jello Biafra , New Model Army, Ministry and generally artists (and people) that are fighting for justice through music or any other way.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

We don’t believe that our sound is different from other rock/heavy local bands. Our music targets everyone who is able to listen and feel our vibes.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

Kyuss, Clutch, Desert Age (documentary).

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

The coyote runs on the street every day to find food, dreams in the studio and finally drinks water on the stage.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Everything that happens in the studio stays in the studio! Haahaha! But i’ll say one thing, whenever you are around our guitarist Dimitris for sure you’re gonna enjoy the torture of laughter!

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

Allow us to choose two or three. To begin with “Go Down” from our last LP “Aho”, which is about the suffers of the refugees and “ how can we sleep at night?”. Also “Reborn” was written for the baby of Stavros (voc.) and Maria (bass) and finally we can’t dismiss our intro in our first issue “Desert” that is a native prayer by Hugo Marroquin , a Guatemalan descent, performing for us a native ritual is a beautiful experience.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

For sure more studio time, as we are currently working on new songs and also our release live show at An Club on the 24th of January!

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

We will ask you a question then! Are you coming in our release show?!
