What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

For this current incarnation I choose to born as a human by the name Labros, born in Greece and raised in the port of Athens, Piraeus one of the most ancient ports in Mediterranean Sea
Making music is something that I made it since my childhood as a game,as there was always music inside my house and listening to my mother who had amazing voice, I usually changed the arrangement of some songs I listen to and transform them to something else…a good game for a child’s imagination
And as they told me first I was singing melodies and then I spoke as a child
The rest it just a usual story of a teenager who discovers music make music bands and projects until one day he realize that music is something more…that Music is everything around us,is what all creation is made from.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

After Odiolab and Labros Xp projects,I decide  to make one more project as Booda Punk. In Odiolab we are two artists,me and my music partner and friend Diogenes Kyratzoglou

Then in “ Labros Xp “  i made a personal album with downtempo and chill out style and finally  I decide to make something more noisy , powerful mixing of “garage” sounds with old style music and there is …”Booda Punk”

BooDa Punk is not just music, its an everyday feeling of that weird moments that this planet is living…environment, animals, humans etc.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Life the same is the main influence, bringing all the time, people full of informations and reason to create Art
So many people in our life, family, friends…people who agree or disagree with you, will shine your blade of consciousness
Infos full of music, philosophy, psychology, science, logic and visions for a better world.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

Every person ,every Artist usually express what is “inside” him/her and this is so unique and different like our fingertips.

It is a personal vision and journey and he or she invites you to join in Music genres or styles are just market tricks of showbiz industry to confuse people and divide them like politics or religions
So my sound ,my music is Labros music, Booda’s opinion, and Punk’s attitude.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

To find yourself on a desert island, there are two possibilities
1st by accident.. shipwreck, plane crash etc….so no music no books or movies
2nd possibility is a personal decision to leave behind this human civilization and go somewhere where there is no signs of that civilization…so again…no music no books no movies…hahaha!!!
Ok…I don’t have something favorite because everything has its own reason and function in my life.

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

These are just two different situations for me
In studio you..go within…you meditate and connect yourself with You and that connects you with All
In live performances you socialize the result of that meditation but also connect with everyone and All
They are both ceremonies with different dimensions but with the same result of ecstatic feeling.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Well…my fanny story is that in most of my performances people wonder about my voice because I can sing like an opera style or like a Mongolian throat singing…or like Dead can dance singer Lisa Gerrard but in more muscular version (hahaha) like Hindu, like Arab like Africa or American blues singers
In some festivals they used to call me Demis Rousos ( I don’t dare to compare my self with that Giant)….because I m a Greek chubby guy with high pitch voice…as Charles ( Asura) said
I remember once in a festival in Italy that Simon Posford (Hallucinogen, Shpongle) was asking me what kind of effects I used for all that voices…and I just told him “ only delay or reverb”…….”So you can do whatever you like with your voice just like that ?..wait here to finish my set”…….
At the end of the night we were sitting both of us with some Italian guys and Simon was playing guitar and I was singing Led Zeppelin and Mongolian style music….

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

This track has not written yet (lol)
Ok..every track is like a child for the creator. It is special and unique
As I already said I don’t have any or something favorite or better than…or superior than…etc
Everything has a special function and reason in our life
One track to make you relax ..one other to meditate one other for your “explosions” …..you see different functions, just like that.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

Future plans are that I will continue breathing, eating, loving and create music until I will leave this world
My artistic plans is that I prepare now songs about Labros Xp and already be in touch with a record label
And as it concerns about Booda Punk ,I have some plans to bring that project in larger scale..not only music but more
That is what I can say for that moment.

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

Audience vs Artist…Is Artist dead?

Yes..Artist is not important anymore not even the project or the performance that happens
Now the audience is the Star of the night who creates stories and upload them on internet, showing us the importance of his /her presence there and not the artistic reason to be there in that place
They are standing in one place not even talk to each other but to chat with people in other places taking pictures all the time and NOT live the moment…The musicians and their music is just like a soundtrack for their fantastic internet stories
I m not against technology…I m not against evolution and progress …I m against stupidity and zombie behavior covered with royalty of ‘’ I M THE STAR “
And you know that creates a lot of unbalanced results and one of them is that a lot of artist start to follow the “appetites” and orders of that audience….and now we have more entertainers with cover songs instead of original creations and performers…most of that in pop music
In old days musicians make their suggestion through their art and people follow or not follow
Now…do we have follow the audience…and not the artist??
Do I sound to egoistic to you??…well think again…
Because those artist have found a balance between their visions and creations and the Importance of people’s reaction and feedback, giving them reasons to expand and experiment with their art to bring that Progress for Both audience and artists
That’s why we still recall the old good music days and bands
We should find that balance again
Art is most Important not ‘clicks’ and ‘likes’ that make us popular in virtual world
Next time you will find yourself to a gig, to a museum etc….please turn of that mobile and
