Oslo’s Orions Belte are back with a stunning banger Silhouettes, that mixes in the blender breezy psychedelic rock, motorik kraut rock rhythms and an explosive climax that reminded us of the volcanic sound of Enemy Hogs-era Oneida. Yes, the listener is intially transported in a lucid “dreamscape” full of psychocybins, and is totally unprepared of the cacophonic, massive climax with the a la Bernard Herrmann mutant strings (signed by Norwegian violinist and composer Ola Kvernberg) that’s about to follow. And this contradiction is this banger’s main virtue.
No need for mushrooms, try Orions Belte!
