Glass Chapel, the artistic project of Jake Phillips, Angela Sitzler, and Nick Phitides, formed in 2022, and their track Where Roses Go received a fantastic remix treatment from the dark wave synth project Draining Kiss, helmed by solo musician Quinn Martin, based in Gainesville, Florida. This remix collaboration embodies the spirit of the emerging dark alternative scene in North Florida, celebrating new connections and friendships within the genre. Draining Kiss’ reimagining of Where Roses Go takes the original’s nostalgic beats and filters them through a lens of cold reflection and thick fog, transforming it into a synth-heavy, danceable dark wave club jam that captivates listeners.
