American multi-instrumentalist Quinn Devlin‘s latest release is the melodious alt country ballad Lilian. This track showcases Devlin’s signature vocal style, complemented by a hauntingly beautiful pedal steel, and a gradual build up to a euphoric crescendo, making it a rewarding listen for patient listeners. The song’s true beauty is unveiled after the 1:30 mark when it hits its full force, only to return to its moody and incredibly captivating timeless melodic line.
For this track, Devlin has collaborated with an eclectic group of musicians, co-producing it with Sahil Ansari (JW Francis, Margaux, Reid Jenkins, Furrows). The track features James Woodall on pedal steel and lap steel (JW Francis, TOLEDO, Libby Rodenbough), Jack Broza on electric guitar (Forager), Jordan Wolff on drums (GLOM, JW Francis), Andy Shimm on bass and harmony vocals (JW Francis), Dylan DeFeo on piano, and Sarah Cicero and Jack Jobst on harmony vocals.
