Leeds based outfit Fold recently released their single Who the Hell Are We?, a superb adventurous mix of trip-hop, avant-pop, spoken word (by the late visionary authors Mike Ruppert & Douglas Adams), gentle ethnic elements and a slice of “mutant disco” groove. This addictive gem is dealing with “the potential collapse of civilisation should we fail to end our ruinous dependency on fossil fuels” and could easily be included in the iconic Meat Beat Manifesto’s Subliminal Sandwich album.
