What inspired you to first start making music? And how did you come to be in your current incarnation? Or if you prefer, a brief bio about you.

We started this band as a form of therapy for ourselves. Trying to mix and create a good balance with our influences and our musical background. We always tried and always will to create something unique, pretty different from common post rock/experimental acts.

Provide us with some info about your latest release…

“Take a Deep Breath” is a flashback to our origin with an eye to the future. It’s an album with more instruments than computers for first but with a wide open vision on how an instrumental band have to be nowadays.

Which ones would you consider your main influences both music-wise & non-music-wise?

Influences comes from all that can be define as “alternative” or “experimental”. It can be a music album, a film, a book, something definable as “cultural”. Inspirations also may comes from personal and everyday life, loss, joy moments, trips, memories, adventures.

In what way does your sound differ from the rest genre-related artists/bands and why should we listen to your music? In other words, how would you describe your sound?

We are too electronic to be described ad “post rock” but we are too post rock to be described as “electronic”. So what we have to do (ahaha)? Maybe this is just the reason to put Platonick Dive’s music in your ears. Our music is like therapy. Try and let us know what you think, what are your feelings after listening the full album.

Please name your 3 desert islands albums, movies & books…

The hardest question has come..
Albums: Nirvana “In Utero”, The Cure “Disintegration”, Moderat “Moderat”

Movies: Twin Peaks (tv series), The Sea of Trees, Mulholland Drive

Books: “1984”, “Naked Lunch”, “The Picture of Dorian Gray”

Do you prefer studio or performing live and why?

Both studio and live performances got its highlights. We need the studio time to then go on stage and live performances needs the time you spent before in studio. Both sides are complementary.

Is there any funny-unique story you would like to share with us, always in relation to your music ‘career’?

Eating pizza after show in the backstage with Explosions In The Sky. So funny and emotional moments!

Which track of your own would you point out as the most unique and why?

There are many but considering just the new album we would pick the first single “Carpet Ceiling” because is the perfect representation of Platonick Dive musical journey at the moment.

Would you like to share with our readers your future plans?

We will tour Europe in spring 2025. See you on the road!

Free question!!! (Ask yourself a question) you wish to answer and haven’t been given the opportunity…

Why did it take you so long to make a new album?

Because best things needs time… and love and passion.
