Mt. Misery‘s new single Waking Up is a delightful indie-pop tune, clocking in at just two and a half minutes. Released via Prefect Records, the track was recorded in a remote Scottish cottage and mixed by Ian Catt (St. Etienne). With jangly guitars and breezy melodies, Waking Up echoes the charm of bands like Teenage Fanclub and The Lemonheads. Despite Stephen’s self-deprecating view of the song’s writing process, it’s a refreshing, feel-good anthem that showcases the band’s signature warmth and heartfelt simplicity as they gear up for their upcoming album release in November.
